WITCHLAND: Book 1 of the Witchland Regency Romantasy series.
A realm ruled by women.
A witch cursed to kill the man she marries.
An enemy who must wed a witch.
Those eyes. Wolf eyes, golden amber-brown, rich with the promise of wildness… but he looked at her with loathing.
It’s hate at first sight when Eliza Peverley meets Will Darsyn, an outspoken critic of Witch Society. But she needs to marry fast, so her Land will give her more magic as a wedding gift. Eliza’s vicious cousin has challenged her to a magical duel, and if she loses, her sister dies too. Will, for reasons of his own, also needs to wed quickly.
Cursed to kill her husband, the last thing Eliza needs is love. She wants a marriage of convenience with a man she won’t mourn. Will is perfect for her – perfectly disagreeable – and there isn’t the slightest chance of her growing fond of him.
Eliza and Will feign love to earn the queen’s approval to wed. And when Eliza’s rival attacks, they are forced to work together to survive. Attraction sparks, but Will has a dangerous secret. One that could change the stakes entirely.
A man who hates witches and the witch who’s going to kill him can never fall in love… can they?
Due out mid September. Pre-order link will be added here soon.
I write about magical women and the men smart enough to fall in love with them.
I write because I enjoy storytelling. Books have entertained me and offered much-needed escapism during stressful times. I want my stories to do the same for my readers, give people that warm happy glow that so many authors have given me through their books.
Welcome to Witchland
Step into a world where Tudor music and fashion is interwoven with Regency splendour. Here you’ll meet women of power and honour, sworn to serve and protect their people. Enter a realm of glittering ballrooms, of witches, dragonriders, Fae and druids who command flames fierce as dragonfire.
In 1536, the timeline changed. The witches came out of hiding to rescue the witch queen Anne Boleyn from the Tower of London, defeating King Henry the Eighth and his druid supporters. England became Witchland and witches have ruled ever since, with their dragon, griffin and winged horse familiars. The Witchland Regency Romantasy series is set centuries after the Witch Rising. Adjoining realms Alba and Gwynedd are allied Witch nations, but danger threatens from the druid-ruled Flamelands across the sea.
